Essences
These essences are offered to you freely as a gift for the Soul; please use them in any way you would like. Most of the essences below were made by the sea on the Penrhyn Gŵyr, Gower Peninsula. As such, they have a strong connection to the magic of the ocean, and the beings & energies that are present here.
Each essence was made in response to a calling - something in me, my own soul, needed tending. I was guided by the flowers, stones and environments and told where to go. This is not a linear, rational process; I simply do as instructed. The essences are the ongoing, living, unfolding result of this intuitive engagement with the mystery of healing, of life itself.
Flowers are never cut in the birthing process – water is usually poured over the bloom and the bowl is placed under or amongst the flowers to harness the living energy of the plant.
If you feel drawn to working with an essence, I invite you to download the photograph of the essence, print it out and use it however feels right. I suggest placing a glass of water over the image for a few minutes to imbue it with healing frequencies, then sip as needed.

Rhosyn (Rose)
For: Reconnecting with life's cycles; death, rebirth, growth. Moving through grief. Fertility. Balancing solar and lunar energies. New beginnings. Transitioning from surviving to thriving.
Indications: Grief, loss, suppression of the feminine, divorced from the cycles of life, heartbreak and heartache.
Rhosyn is an essence of Love. It is deeply supportive of the heart, particularly when we are in the midst of grief through loss - whether that be the loss of a loved one, relationship, job or home - Rhosyn holds the heart and womb spaces in a nurturing field of love. If we get stuck in our grieving process, Rhosyn helps the grief to flow again, allowing the healing balm of Love to gently touch our most tender places. Its energy is nurturing, warm and supportive.
Rhosyn contains the energy of the rosa rugosa flower and was made by the sea on the Sacred Feminine 13th day of June 2014 under a Sagittarius Full Moon.

Cuddio (Hiding)
For: Embodying your Sacred Purpose. Integrating new light codes and higher frequencies. Letting go of dead weight. Endurance.
Indications: Wanting to hide; needing isolation but feeling trapped by it. Withdrawn. Feeling a failure. For those who are cold; circulatory issues.
Cuddio supports us when we feel overwhelmed and disorientated by the world around us. When it all feels too much; when we cut ourselves off and isolate ourselves as a way of coping, we can turn to Cuddio to hold us in our sensitivity. Through working with Cuddio, we begin to understand ourselves in ways that may not have been accessible to us previously. We come to learn our sensitivity is a gift; our deep empathy essential for creating change the planet so desperately needs. When the experience of being human feels all-too-much, Cuddio reconnects us with our resilience, reminding us why we’re embodied at this time, helping us drop the weight that isn’t ours to carry, enabling us to embody new states of energetic harmony and consciousness and navigate our introversion with grace.
Cuddio (Hiding) was birthed next to the sea on the cliffs at Bae Cas-wellt, Caswell Bay during the Solar Eclipse & Spring Equinox on March 20th 2015. It is an environmental and astrological Essence, with crystalline energy from Aquamarine. The water was collected at dawn from the well in Coed yr Esgob, Bishop’s Wood and the Aquamarine was charged in the water of the sea before being placed in the essence bowl.
Energetics: Crown chakra, Upper Dantian, Buddhic body, Taiji Pole, Chong Mai
Aeddfediad (Maturation)
For: Connecting with Archangel Gabriel. Spiritual evolution. Deepened commitment to your calling and planetary service; being held on the journey; knowing you are supported in this mission to bring through that which you don’t yet understand. Undoing of knots, hooks and ties in the solar plexus chakra; dissolution of ego aspects that don’t serve. Recalibration, integration and expansion of the third eye.
Indications: Depression, inability to concentrate, feeling flummoxed.
Aeddfediad (Maturation) presents itself to you when you feel stuck in your spiritual path; it helps us become aware of things we’d perhaps rather shy away from - in this it invites us to do some very thorough examination. As such, it is a deeply transformative energy that is best worked with for a whole lunar cycle to fully integrate its gifts.
Aeddfediad is very multifaceted in its nature. It contains many elements that make up the whole picture — we have the cherry blossom blooms that hang in the bowl; a bumblebee joined us for half an hour during the birth of the Essence under a Scorpio Full Moon (April 22nd 2016) in the presence of Archangel Gabriel! All of these factors combine to make this profound essence.
Energetics: Solar Plexus and Brow chakras, thymus, Yin Wei Mai, Spleen Luo
Amddiffyn (Protection)
For: Protection from others' emotions. Shielded from the storms of life and outside/external influences. Feeling safe. Attuned visibility - allowing you to be seen or out of view as called for. Assists vision and clairvoyance. Strengthens and supports connection to the Cosmic Womb.
Indications: Paranoia. Inappropriate and unhealthy levels of visibility; attracting unwanted attention; not being seen or recognised for your gifts, skills and talents. Closed down root chakra and disconnection from this area.
Amddiffyn was made as an urgent response to the times we are in. She is a great defender of spirit, with a strong but soft Warrior character. Call on Amddiffyn when all around you seems to be in chaos; she will be a great ally and guide to build your resilience and navigate stormy territories.
Amddiffyn (Protection, her key theme) contains the energy of the Murwyll Tewbannog Arfor, matthiola sinuata, Sea Stock flower and was born under a last quarter Taurean moon on June 11th 2016 as a storm was brewing. After bottling the mother essence, I began the 20 minute walk home along the seashore, the clouds behind me growing ever larger and ominous. I had no coat but knew I would be sheltered; I could feel the protective power of the essence. As I got through my front door, within seconds the heavens opened. This affirmed to me the potency of the essence as protector!

Ymddangosiad (Emergence)
For: Emergence of your deepest instincts into your conscious life. An ability to experience both the inner and outer realms simultaneously. Discovering the mysteries inside of you and how they wish to show up in the world. Opening up to a different way of viewing, seeing and experiencing reality with regards to Self and your place in the world. Emerging from the depths, coming to the light after traveling in the darkness. Feeling alive without dramatic peaks and troughs.
Indications: Incongruence. A sense of belonging to this world yet being of others… feeling the need to prove yourself. Limited/restricted insight.
Ymddangosiad (Emergence) embodies the gifts of Seal - a graceful traveler between worlds. Much of the life of a seal appears effortless. The grace with which seals move is made fluid through working with Ymddangosiad. We become more adept at interdimensional and shamanic work. This really is an essence for expanding consciousness!
Ymddangodiad was made on the cliffs of Rhosili during the so-called Lion's Gate portal on 08/08/2016. A seal came and spoke to me as I was settling to begin creating the essence; it told me of the joys and difficulties of life as a ‘land animal’ or human, and how there are great gifts alongside struggles of navigating both the 3D reality and other expanded experiences.
Energetics: Sacral and Throat chakras, Spleen meridian, Metal element.
Culture Cultivator
For: Lighting a New Way. Making peace with all the varying identities and aspects of Self that form the multifaceted wholeness of Who You Are. Resilience. Service. Prioritising Joy to bring about deeper harmony in one's life. Connecting to and receiving from the web of life that supports and sustains us so we can support others.
Indications: Resistance to embodying our Calling. Depression. Caught in negative ways of thinking. Fear of getting it wrong and being rejected accordingly. Being aloof.
Culture Cultivator is an essence of Service. This is sacred medicine for the activists, the creatives, the healers; those of us who serve something bigger than our selves, who live in ways that create and envision a world of peace, a world rooted in Love. Forget-Me-Not acts as a beacon of light that is creating a new way. Mimulus helps eradicate the fears that hold us back from committing to our calling. Dipper helps resource us for the work ahead. Culture Cultivator helps us remember we are not alone in this work; that there is a whole network of lightworkers dotted around the planet, connected through the web of life, shining our lights and sharing our creative and intuitive gifts for the benefit of all.
A first for the range ~ an essence made outside of Wales! Birthed atop Raisbeck tumble waterfall on 11th July 2017 in the Eden Valley, Cumbria, England, this essence contains the energy of Forget-Me-Not, Mimulus and the Dipper bird.

Llawenydd (Joy)
For: Pure, unadulterated joy. Dancing with Love. Childlike wonder, gaiety, happiness.
Indications: Struggling to see the magic and beauty of the every day. Disconnected from/unable to commit to daily spiritual practice.
Llawenydd reconnects us to the beauty, magic and joy of the every day. Magic is our birthright. The culture of modern living can very easily disconnect us from this, or even trick us into believing that magic doesn’t exist. Of course, we know the truth. Llawenydd embodies this magic beautifully, and awakens the magic of Joy within the soul, energy systems and cells of the body.
Made during the Blue Full Moon on 31st March 2018, this essence is made with the rare Llysiau’r-Bystwn Melyn, draba aizoides, Yellow Whitlow Grass flower on the De Gŵyr, South Gower coastline; the only place this flower grows in Britain. The buds had only just begun to open up into their magnificence; an important character of this essence is the unexploded pure potential for sunshine and happiness we hold within. When I met this plant I literally jumped for joy. Never has an essence making experience been so happy.

Orchid Awakening
This essence is dedicated to all who have struggle with sex and gender related issues. May Orchid Awakening support your growth and transformation.
For: Serenity. Breakthroughs in consciousness. Spiritual support. Source connection. Restoration of flow. Recognition of unique insights. Self acceptance.
Indications: Menstrual pain, dehydration, gender dysphoria, cultural and societal rejection of sexuality outside of heteronormativity.
Traditionally a symbol of fertility and elegance, orchids work at a very high frequency. The particular orchid that called me embodies this quality beautifully ~ it shone so brightly it was hard to photograph. Bright white petals, spread like angel wings, divinity incarnate! A striped blue and black damselfly accompanied the making of this essence. Dragonflies have long been associated with change, transformation and spiritual expansion; I really felt that medicine coming through as the essence was birthing, as my own insights and experience of gender and sexuality were dominant themes in my life at this time.
An important aspect of this essence is that it helps us to feel seen, loved and deeply held. A dear friend affirmed the power of Orchid Awakening in her gentle receiving of the beauty and healing contained within the essence shortly after it was birthed; she held up a beloved mirror, allowing me to receive this aspect of the medicine more fully. The essence teaches us that when we begin to treasure our uniqueness, then the world will follow...
Orchid Awakening was birthed next to a tributary of the River Barle in the wilds of Exmoor, England under a waning Aries moon on July 6th 2018.

Angori Golau
(Anchoring Light)
For: Coming into your power as a lightworker. Effortless ease. Confidence. Expansion. Deep presence and focus. Abundance.
Indications: Winter blues, depression, forgetting the light of Who You Are.
Angori Golau supports lightworkers and changemakers to go public with their work, and to develop confidence in their gifts and abilities. When we stumble or get knocked off centre, Angori Golau floods our energy system with Light, helping us get back on track with what we came here to do; reminding us that we are essential and needed on the planet at this time. It also makes that process easy ~ whatever it is that’s required of us in our sacred work become effortless. We are present, focused, in the right place at the right time. We feel a deep connection to the wholeness of everything, and our place in that whole.
Angori Golau came into being at the request of a client, who has given her blessing for this essence to be publicly available. Born during Leo season (August 15th 2019) under a Full Moon in Aquarius, Cat’s Ear and a young Crow worked together to bring through this essence to help us stay connected to the power and gifts of the Sun during the darker days of winter.
